I am Sharon Alejandra Urrego Franco, Merchant Officer, professional in nautical sciences specialty bridge. Graduated from the Naval Cadet School "Almirante Padilla", located in Cartagena, Colombia.
Through my shipments during my training I acquired knowledge and mastery in the ethical and professional, maritime, administrative and labor activities necessary to be on board national and foreign merchant ships, knowledge in the part of security and protection of ships, companies and Port Facilities (PBIP), and security in operations in the management of Management Systems (ISM), MARPOL, SOLAS, IMDG, IMSBC.
Likewise, I acquired more knowledge aboard the bay tugboats in the Caribbean Sea, performing responsibilities as First Officer in charge of ISM documentation, safety on board, assistance in docking maneuvers and departure of tall ships in the port of Cartagena, Santa Marta and Barranquilla.
On the other hand, I have experience in operations of container ships in different ports worldwide and also knowledge of the regulations for the arrival of authorities in US, Australian and New Zealand ports. Currently, I am in charge of the IMDG Code in the Maritime General Directorate of Colombia, and I am part of the founding group of WISTA COLOMBIA.
